Course Description

Theoretical component: 60%
Practical component: 40%

This training is designed to provide workers with the knowledge and skills required to work safely in confined spaces. It is intended for anyone required to work in or near a confined space.
The program includes both theoretical and practical components and has a total duration of 8 hours.

 

Training objectives:

  • Understand the definitions, types, and characteristics of confined spaces
  • Identify risks specific to confined spaces
  • Understand the legal requirements applicable in Québec for confined spaces under the LSST and CSA Z1006
  • Understand the roles and responsibilities of the entrant and the attendant
  • Apply confined space entry and monitoring procedures

  • Confined space entry procedures
  • Personal protective equipment
  • Roles and responsibilities of involved personnel
  • Emergency procedures and use of rescue equipment
  • Practical scenarios and hands-on exercises

  • Be 18 years of age or older
  • Be in good physical condition
Training available for private groups or public sessions

Training can be provided at our facilities or directly at the client’s site, using our mobile confined space simulator for realistic and safe practical exercises.

The second floor is used as a classroom, and a separate cafeteria is available to participants during breaks.
